As a part of the 38th Fajr Music Festival project, We made three documentaries of Iranian pioneer musicians based on interviews mixed with photos, B-rolls, and stock footage.

As an editor, I was in close contact with the director, and we chose the soundtrack and the stock footage together. It was also a valuable experience in editing long-duration interviews, narrowing them to small chunks of talks in a short documentary!

Nader Mashayekhi is an Iranian composer. Mashayekhi studied under Roman Haubenstock-Ramati at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. In this documentary, he talks about his life and works, his taste in music, and his attitude to the world around us.

Ophelia Parto is an Iranian pianist and musician, born in 1938. She entered the national music high school at the age of 10. She was the first woman who performed and taught the Persian-style piano. She talked about her life and work while showing us her old photo albums.
